RICHARD GRECO, JR., MANAGING PARTNER

Since January 2007, Richard Greco, Jr. has been the Chief Executive Officer of Filangieri Capital Partners, bring to portfolio companies and advisory clients his expertise in shareholder value creation, corporate governance, strategy development, financial policy, commercial execution, audit and internal control, and reporting.  Richard is also a Senior Advisor at Muzinich & Co., a credit management company with $22 billion in managed assets with responsibility for a private debt fund for small and medium sized businesses in Italy, and a Senior Advisor at The Scowcroft Group, an international business advisory firm founded by National Security Adviser to two Presidents of the United States, Brent Scowcroft.  In 2004 Richard was nominated by the President of the United States and confirmed by the United States Senate as the nation’s 19th Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Financial Management & Comptroller).  In this capacity Mr. Greco was the Chief Financial Officer of the Department of the Navy, a global enterprise with 525,000 people and an annual budget of more than $130 billion.  Prior to his service as Assistant Secretary, Richard was a White House Fellow and a special assistant to the Secretary of Defense.  During his Fellowship year he served in Baghdad for six weeks focused on private sector development and the introduction of the new Iraqi dinar.  From 1997 to 2002 Richard was a managing director at the corporate finance advisory firm of Stern Stewart & Co., where he managed the company’s Italian operations in Milan.  And before joining Stern Stewart in 1997, Mr. Greco was an Associate at The Scowcroft Group. Richard holds an M.B.A. in finance from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, an M.A. from The Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, and a B.S. in Chemistry Summa Cum LaudeIn Cursu Honorum from Fordham University.  He is a published author and frequent speaker on defense matters, politics, and education.

TIZIANO CURATI, ANALYST

Tiziano Curati was born in Germany in 1986 and attended the German school in Rome. In 2008 he received a Bachelor in Financial Markets (Summa cum Laude) at LUISS University. From the same university he earned a Master in Economics (2009) and a Master in Finance (2011) with a dissertation in “Pairs trading” (Summa cum Laude). He started his career at Galileo Finance Sim where he analysed funds and investment strategies for a period of six months. He then moved to London where he worked as a futures trader before joining Filangieri Capital in February 2013.

FABRIZIO FOSSI FIASCHETTI, ASSOCIATE

Fabrizio Fossi Fiaschetti was born in Rome in 1986.  After classical studies, in 2008 he graduated from LUISS University of Rome (Italy) in “Economics Markets and Financial Intermediaries” and, in 2011, he received a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance (LUISS University) with a dissertation on “The market liquidity risk” (summa cum laude).  After a brief experience in 2011 with a mobile payments start up, where he developed his knowledge of business and financial modeling, he started working with API Group – Api Anonima Petroli Italiana Spa, where within the financial division he followed international import and export oil deals.

ANDREA LUCIO MAROTTI, ANALYST

Andy Marotti was born in France in 1991.  He is a recent graduate of McGill University with a double major in Political Science and History.  Having grown up on both sides of the Atlantic, Andy has developed an international perspective of the world and, in particular, an interest in research of global politics and international business.  Previously, he held positions at the Atlantic Council of Rome, a NATO affiliate.

ACHILLE TEOFILATTO, SENIOR ADVISOR

Achille Teofilatto, from the Roman family of Senator Teofilatto Count of Tusculum, was born in Rome in 1987 and is a Senior Advisor at Filangieri Capital Partners.  After classical studies, in 2008 he graduated from LUISS University of Rome (Italy) in Business Administration and, in 2011, he received a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance (LUISS University) with a dissertation on Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (summa cum laude and publication of the dissertation).  After a brief experience in 2008 with the Equity & Derivatives team at BNP Paribas, where he developed his knowledge of the Italian Stock Exchange, he has started working with Filangieri Capital Partners since August 2011.
