History

Established in December 2006, FILANGIERI CAPITAL PARTNERS is named for Gaetano Filangieri, an 18th Century philosopher from Naples, Italy known for his five-year correspondence with Benjamin Franklin and for having had a profound impact on the thinking of the founding fathers of the United States.  Gaetano Filangieri’s seminal work, The Science of Legislation, remains a timeless and passionate advocacy for free trade, freedom of the press, universal education, and equal justice for all.  Believing strongly that it is also a duty to serve higher purposes than business, our principals and associates have served in government and are involved in many community and charitable organizations, including The Montfort Academy, an award-winning classical high school based in part on the educational model advocated by Gaetano Filangieri and his Italian Renaissance predecessors.
