About Us

FILANGIERI CAPITAL PARTNERS is named after Gaetano Filangieri, an 18th Century philosopher from Naples, Italy known for having carried on a five-year correspondence with Benjamin Franklin and for having had a profound impact on the thinking of the founding fathers of the United States.  Gaetano Filangieri’s seminal work, The Science of Legislation, remains a timeless and passionate advocacy for free trade, freedom of the press, universal education, and equal justice for all.  Believing strongly that it is also a duty to serve higher purposes than business, our principal, associates, analysts, and business partners have served in government and are involved in many community and charitable organizations, including The Montfort Academy, an award-winning classical high school based in part on the educational model advocated by Gaetano Filangieri and his Italian Renaissance predecessors.
